Lore was founded in 2012 with a simple : to bring meaning and beauty to your everyday. For over a decade, we’ve been hand-selecting conscious creations from artisan jewellery designers around the globe.
We are so excited to launch this new era of our brand with you. And while our name and website changes to reflect the journey that we’ve been on since our launch, our mission has always stayed the same: We offer limited edition pieces designed to ground, guide and inspire. From expressions of culture to tokens of love and symbols of elemental connection, we design and curate timeless pieces for you to cherish each and every day.

Our founders
For as long as she can remember, Lore founder Anna Burke has felt a deep connection with the natural world. Having spent her youth travelling the globe, Anna’s love for nature developed intoa fascination with indigenous cultures. Her experiences opened her eyes to a more balanced way of life that had been long-abandoned by the western world. Throughout her journey, Anna found herself drawn to tribal-inspired artefacts, jewellery and accessories. Where high-street
jewellery seemed to lack quality and substance, these adornments were enduring symbols of culture and age-old knowledge.
Inspired, she began seeking striking and meaningful pieces from emerging designers in the UK, Europe and beyond. As her collection grew, she became keen to share her passions with the world.
In 2012, Anna created an online platform to offer customers sustainable and meaningful designerjewellery that they wouldn’t find anywhere else. Lore — then named Apache Rose — was born.
In 2020, we welcomed Annabel Zicker into the Lore family. Having worked for decades in a high-pressure corporate role, Annabel found herself seeking deeper meaning in life. In 2017, she suffered from burnout and, like Anna, began a lifelong journey of personal growth.
As well as sharing Anna’s innate love of jewellery, Annabel’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion fopositive social impact made her the perfect partner for the next stage of our journey.
