Having trained in textile design, Fiona Paxton decided to transfer her skills to the world of jewellery design and launched her label in 2008. Her pieces are hand beaded by artisans in India and the craftsmanship is evident in the quality upheld. Her designs illustrate a fascinating mixture of influences. Inspiration has clearly been drawn from the iconic British punk era Fiona grew up in. However there are also notes of tribal influence shown through the geometric designs and the fact the pieces are very much ‘statement’ pieces by nature. Furthermore, Fiona’s inspiration also draws from the conceptual Japanese fashion from the 80s and the German Bauhaus movement.
